BELFAST, Maine: Maine Crafts Guild artisans will show their handmade fine craft in wood, metal, fiber, clay and mixed media at the United Farmers Market Event Center, August 16-18, 2019. The show will play host to the 2019 Maine Master Craft Artist Award Presentation from 6:00-6:30pm on opening night, Friday, August 16.
Opening night of the show will be free and open to the public with a cash bar and light snacks from 5-8pm. The gate admission of $3 will resume on Saturday and Sunday. Attendees need only pay once for the weekend.
The 2019 Maine Master Craft Artist Award will be presented by the Maine Crafts Association to Tom Ferrero. Ferrero is included in the Master Craft Artist Award Ten Year Anniversary Exhibition at the Fuller Craft Museum. Attendees are invited to visit the Guild’s exhibitor booths before and after Friday’s 6:00pm presentation.
The Guild is known for its flagship “Directions” show on Mount Desert Island and has a long-standing tradition of fine craft shows throughout the state. Attendees will experience a gallery-like show in an intimate setting. While shopping and visiting with some of Maine’s most accomplished craftspeople, attendees can learn about both time-honored and modern techniques in handcraft.
Fine jewelry, home furnishings and fashion apparel are among the handmade items exhibited for sale at the Belfast Fine Craft Show on August 16-18, 2019. Fri. 5pm-8pm, Sat. 9am-5pm & Sun. 10am-4pm.
