The owner of Maggie’s Farm, master sculptor, David Pollock, has been working exclusively in wood full-time for the past 36 years. His current work is in the area of wooden cooking utensils and a few personal care items. We use domestic and non-endangered imported hardwoods and strive to create pieces which are comforting to hold and efficiently ergonomic to use. We sell the majority of our work at fine craft fairs, have a limited Etsy site, and sell a small portion of our work on wholesale basis. For wholesale inquiries, please call 207-754-1368. I have always had a fascination with the natural beauty of wood. My philosophy, when making a piece of furniture is that it should be functional, beautiful, and last 2 or more generations. My personal style revolves around designs that are uncomplicated and easy to look at. A number of pieces are variations of Shaker designs, which I find simple and elegant. This allows the wood itself, the color and grain pattern, to play a more important role in how the piece looks. This is where the individual furniture maker has the opportunity to show his or her artistic ability to not only build a well designed piece of furniture, but a beautiful piece as well.
